Clay of the dead..its a claymation/animation/video cartoon..its a hybrid amongst the traditional claymation movies due to the added video and animation...it started with my love for horror movies one of my favorites being dawn of the dead.
I loved the scene in dawn of the dead the 2005 remake..where they kill zombies by golfing off the rooftop of the mall..it blew my mind..i thought that would be so fun and i had so many different ways to kill zombies from the rooftop of the mall i would just sit and talk about how i would have done different things then what they did in the movie..i thought they could have gotten creative they way they killed the zombies off the rooftop..
so as time went by..i joked with the idea of making a cartoon about the different ways id kill the zombies on the rooftop of the mall.
i started with making a flash cartoon..but with so many flash cartoons on the net nowdays..i felt like that was unoriginal...so..i looked around for a gory bloody horror claymaton..and to my amaze i found ..NOTHING...it was all animation of some kind...so i figured..to be originial.. claymation is the way to go...and it gives me more freedom with the whole thing..
So a few weeks ago i sat down and started messing around with the idea of claymation...
My first try came out soo well that i instantly knew it was the way to go...if fact..the animation on the main page is the first claymation ive ever done..not bad..
so as an experiment i made a myspace account for clay of the dead..since ive seen soo many movie pages on there that i wanted to see if there was any interest in a claymation theses days..
in shock..
the response was ...retarted...haha..i could not believe how many people instanly became interested in this little homemade creation of mine..
So here we are now..i bought the website and made a page to the best of my ability..its basic..but its good enough..if you want to make me one..please let me know...
http://myspace.com/clayofthedead
is the myspace page..
I make the sets out of cardboard and construction paper and just about anything i can find that will look cool.. so i recycle..
thanks for the support...
